Class of 1958 – 60th Reunion 2018

Celebrating 95 Years of Sisterhood

Donor Wall Updated: 6/30/18

March 2018

Dear Classmates,

The Class of ‘58 will be celebrating our 60th reunion on April 20-21! Please join me as we celebrate our lifelong connection to our sister alumnae, our alumnae organization, and alma mater, which defines us as Douglass alumnae. This is our year to shine by participating in reunion and supporting the AADC during its 95th Anniversary. Weekend events include inspirational and educational panels and workshops, the reunion convocation ceremony, AADC alumnae awards, activities for milestone classes and campus tours. This year also features our once-in-a-lifetime event: our 95th Anniversary Forward Together Gala.  To register and learn more, visit DouglassAlumnae.org/Reunion.

I invite you all to take note of the special new alumnae programs at the AADC. The AADC Women's Life-Long Learning Initiative is a suite of professional and personal development programs designed for alumnae of all stages of life. The AADC’s educational and career programs give alumnae access to workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions conducted by career and other professionals. The Mabel’s Alumnae Mentoring Program which paired 64 women this year and the Victoria Dabrowski Schmidt ’42 Workplace and Professional Development Symposium held in September are noteworthy programs of this new initiative. These are just a few of the AADC’s programs available to advance and strengthen our sister alumnae, in addition to traditional initiatives such as the annual lectures, Reunion, AADC fellowships and affinity and regional groups.

Be sure to stay informed of new and exciting programs at your alumnae organization by keeping your contact information updated (update at Douglassalumnae.org/contact-us) and following the AADC on social media.

As we celebrate our 60th Reunion, I ask you to take this opportunity to give back to an organization who continues to impact, advance, and support our alumnae sisterhood through the programs I mentioned and more. We are very close to meeting our five year giving goal of $100,000 having raised $86,000 so far. However, so far this year, only 34 of us out of our entire class have made a gift! Your participation is vital in reaching our goal.

Please join me in making a gift to the AADC Annual Appeal. The Annual Appeal is not on behalf of NJC, DRC, Douglass or Rutgers.  Your generous gift will allow the AADC the flexibility to support unique opportunities which empower and strengthen our sisterhood and the general administration which provides a best-in-class alumnae organization. More importantly, it will support the AADC’s 95-year-strong legacy of educating, empowering, and engaging all Douglass alumnae.

Thank you and I hope to see you at the 2018 Alumnae Reunion Weekend!

Sincerely,
