A Special 95 Hours of Giving in Honor of our 95th Anniversary

The 42 women in the first graduating Class of 1922 established many enduring and beloved traditions for the thousands of women who would follow in their paths. On June 10, 1922 with graduation caps still in hand, the Class of 1922 established an alumnae organization as a means of strengthening alumnae ties and assuring each alumna a powerful voice.

Ninety-five years forward, the AADC has proudly continued to be alumnae-led, alumnae-created, and alumnae-driven. Since 1922, the AADC has been home to a vibrant and dynamic sisterhood and an unstoppable group of women who strive to impact the lives of other women. The AADC is committed to providing programs and initiatives that allow alumnae to achieve their ambitions, and continue a lifelong journey of learning and connecting to sister alumnae.

Join the AADC’s leadership in making a commitment to inspire another 95 years of excellence. Help celebrate the 95th Anniversary in the true spirit of alumnae sisterhood with a special unrestricted gift of $95 or more to the AADC Annual Appeal. The Annual Appeal is not on behalf of NJC, DRC, Douglass, or Rutgers. Your name will be listed on the AADC's commemorative 95th Anniversary Donor Wall published online and in the upcoming printed publication.

Make your pledge to inspire another 95 years of impact by:

  1. Making your special anniversary gift to the AADC: Make your gift online, mail your check made payable to the AADC (Associate Alumnae of Douglass College), or consider a gift through your IRA by speaking with AADC staff at 732-246-1600.

Consider if you’ve never given before, what a noteworthy year it is to start. For those who have given to the AADC in the past, please consider a special additional gift this year to support the future of our beloved alumnae organization.

  1. Sharing on your personal social media accounts why you have given to your alumnae organization.
  2. Challenging your sister alumnae and friends to make a special gift to support our alumnae organization.
  3. Downloading, picking up a copy or making your own sign which states your reason for giving with the hashtag #AADCForwardTogether.

THANK YOU for your support in making our alumnae organization and the sisterhood it impacts thrive.

Your Impact

$550

AADNJC to AADC

$550 is in recognition of the year 1955. Proving that the AADC evolves with the times, this was the year the organization changed its name (as did alma mater) in honor of the founding Dean Mabel Smith Douglass. Thereby the Associate Alumnae of New Jersey College for Women became the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College.
